"Father, if you are willing, please take this cup of suffering away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine." Luke 22:42 (NLT)
As Jesus approached his destiny, to die on the cross for all sinners, he experienced a moment of humanity, and asked for the huge responsibility to be taken from him if possible. However, Jesus, quickly acknowledging who His Father is, did not stay in that moment. He followed up with, "Yet, I want your will to be done, not mine."
I encourage you as a wife to take the lead from Jesus on how to approach your responsibility as a wife. I understand that this responsibility requires a lot of you giving of yourself, which can be overwhelming at times. However, our main priority should be about God getting the glory and pleasing Him. God has a purpose and a plan for your life, which includes your marriage and family (Jeremiah 29:11) He has already equipped you for this (2 Timothy 3:17) Submit your will to His, and remember that it's not about you!
I pray that you will allow God to be glorified through you.
